Flowformer is a chrome extension that lets you focus on just one thing you want to do, or specifically not do, during a 24-hour period. You can also email yourself in the same way with reminders or include Nudgemail with other recipients so that you get a ping back to remind you to check for responses. For example, forward a message to and that email will come back to you on that date. Nudgemail lets you postpone dealing with emails until they are relevant to the task at hand. Digg Deeper gathers together the most shared and talked about stories from your friends on Twitter and Facebook and emails you the top five. Concentration Timer times your work and chimes every few minutes to remind you to stay focused: it's good if you're finding your mind wandering as it limits just how far it can go. ![]() ![]() I remember in Graces F if you played on Chaos mode nearly the entire game, and switched it back to normal, your party would just completely roll them over. I played the highest difficulties possible on Graces F and Zestiria for the above reasons, but there isn't a similar incentive to do that in Berseria. And that was part of the reward for playing on a higher difficulty is that your party sorta scaled up and became more powerful than they would be if you played on a lower difficulty. The power of your party doesn't actually scale up with the enemies. In this game there is zero incentive to play on hard over normal for example. In the other tales games, if you played on higher difficulty, you'd get more/higher tier gear drops possibly with better mods as well, more exp/grade, etc to compensate. I did everything I was supposed to do like exploit weaknesses, used break soul to guard break him, etc. I know broken when I see it and this is broke. Don't insult my intelligence by calling this a challenge. He blocked 95% of the time, and when I finally did get a combo, he breaks out of it after about 20 something hits, does an AOE, multi-hit (lots of damage) stuns, and kills 2 of my characters. The first mob I ran into that did that was some OP gorilla mob that showed up after a fight. There is no way for the player to predict when this happens either so they might back off. And most of those combo breaking attacks do insane damage, and stun you for a kill combo. Yeah, bosses/mobs randomly breaking combos is complete BS. Was actually able to manage that without pulling my hair out. At least in Berseria you can just farm Lindwurm and once you get the method down it's pretty easy and doesn't take too long. I ended up cheating in Zestiria to get all my grade because farming for it legitimately was, like many things in Zest, an intolerable grind. At least the grade farming in this is the most painless it's been since Vesperia, so it's still not too bad to save some sidequests for a second playthrough.Ĭertainly agree with that. Xillia 1 and 2 basically required a ton of grinding just to have any fun at all on a second playthrough, which burnt out a lot of players. Berseria having the old grade method is a step in the right direction, but not being able to carry the full moveset over makes little sense. Tetsuo9999 a écrit :The last four Tales games (Xillia 1, Xillia 2, Zestiria and Berseria) have killed the replay value by requiring the player to do almost everything in the game before being able to feasibly start a second playthrough. I'm sure you can find that out on your own with a quick google search though. ![]() I dunno about adding them through Cheat Engine or anything like that. You basically only get to use them for the final boss and EX dungeon, which is pretty lame. Agreed on final break souls/mystic artes though. You'll have access to basically your full arsenal of artes for like 80% of the game that way. Seems counterproductive to add extra moves at the end but take them away if the player likes the game enough to start another playthrough.Īs far as the artes gained through leveling, if you use the double learning speed grade shop option you will basically have everything by about level 30 so that's not really a big deal. If they do it to facilitate buying the DLC, they could just have another Grade option that allows them to be carried over completely. ![]() Not being able to carry over artes is the worst thing about these last two games. Seems pointless to unlock them if you can only use them for the postgame. Tetsuo9999 a écrit :I was wondering the same thing too. ![]() He also states that God and man don't believe in modern love. Modern love teaches that you dont have to feel guilt or be religious in general. His God and man line is referring to the distance that man has made from god through modern love. The church reference to me is about getting to the alter before he's too old so he can have kids and that kinda stuff. Modern love isn't so much hard work as it is the power to impress the girl you're with. Modern love and the girls involved will date him (walk beside him) then leave him (walks on by). Relationships bomb out, he cant keep a girl, etc. I think what he's trying to say is that he obviously hates modern love. So here's my take after thinking about it a bit: This has always been a song that has captured my interest though I never knew its meaning. My InterpretationWell after reading what you guys had to say, I went back and re-read the lyrics. Too bad I'm not David Bowie and can't just keep that cycle of arrested development going forever, huh? ) As a kid I just liked the upbeat tune with the dark lyrics. As a young guy, that makes you want to react by rejecting all of that and splitting off to become single and repeat the process again.Īlways dug this song. That naturally leads to talk of settling down which can be scary and restricting. On one hand, freedom and liberation leads to passion and love. (hence tagged as personal interpretation). This sticks out because it's a cycle I've seen and experienced first hand. So before the relationship goes down that path toward stability (and maybe stagnation) you reject it all and go back to modern love.starting it all over again. This terrifies you and brings a load of anxiety because you may not have thought that far ahead so your reaction is to go party and deny what you don't want to acknowledge. You think you're happy but then you start to settle down and you think that maybe you want to marry. That's where the cycling choral verses start to represent the thoughts of a young guy who is trying to find just what he really wants. The whole cliche is about making sure the bride or groom make it to the church on time. "Gets you to the church on time" is a reference to getting married. Either way it's the desire for stability and safety that those traditions imply. but at the same time that other side of you. It can be amazing when you have truly uninhibited love with someone. ![]() No religion (tradition, maybe outdated and stodgy) and no hangups. The way I always hear this song, it's about a guy and his conflict between "modern" cosmopolitan relationships and more "traditional" ones that still hold some draw. The "hook" of this song is how it's cyclical. My InterpretationI think a lot of people are taking things too literally (what the backup singers are saying while he sings each part of the chorus). In the end he's untimately left disappointed by all Modern Love and all relationships. He's entered another loveless relationship so he turns his back, walks and doesn't wave goodbye. However, he feels no presence of God ("no confessions.no religion") and he realises that the preaching is juts another charm offensive and all talk. He's welcomed into the church ("make me party") and puts his belief in God. He feels like he's drowning ("lying in the rain") and when the eventual split comes, again apathy.īowie cleverly uses "gets me to the church on time" to mean that his shallow relationships drive him to find answers in church instead of leading to a church wedding (the normal use of the phrase). He realises the dating scene is all about turning on the charm. ![]() As much as he want's to, when they split his apathy won't even allow him to wave goodbye. He meets someone but it's all the same and they're all talk ("I'm standing in the wind"). General CommentOK, Bowie and Linkin' Park aside, this song is simply a great song, if albeit confusing.īowie is reluctant to go out and try dating/sleeping around, but he's single and knows he can't just "stay in". What he fails to notice is the sections that are "repaired" over the weekend often cause problems the following Monday. Gridlock is very supportive of weekend track work.
